My HP iPaq 6515 recently developed a nasty habit of freezing upon removal from the charger or sync cable, when ActiveSync is running.

(Note: not actively updating, just "connected".)

The iPaq is 2 years old, program load has been stable for over a year. i.e nothing new. Everything works. This "freeze on ActiveSync disconnect" feature is a recent phenomenon.

Anyone seen this, or have an idea what might be causing the behavior?

Note: If ActiveSync on the iPaq is "closed" (iPaq taskbar icon tapped; icon disappears), the freeze does not occur. So this is the workaround.
