Wm6

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew if it is at all possible to upgrade wm5 to wm6 on a 6925/45 (if im not mistaken they are the same except 25 is linked with a carrier vs 45 unlocked). i read through the previous posts, but i couldnt find any info apart from hp not releasing an upgrade themselves, so Im hoping that there is something WE can do ourselves. thanks :)

EDIT: also, I am looking at getting it (6925) via amazon from computer brain, which may mean its locked with a US carrier ( Im Canadian). are the ipaqs unlockable? so that i can use it with my carrier that is

EDIT: last thing, i promise: I was wondering if the 69xx series are compatible with a bluetooth keyboard- i.e. if i can take notes in class on my phone with a foldable bluetooth keyboard.... cause if i can... that'd be /drool

There is no WM6 upgrade for the 6900 (official or otherwise). If anyone other than HP managed to create one the upgrade would be considered illegal since this OS has not been licensed for the 6900, and discussion of illegal ROMs is not permitted here.

The 6925 is locked to AT&T, so you won't be able to use it with your carrier.

The 6925 is blue tooth enabled so you can use a bluetooth keyboard with it.

Answer
1
http://www.mobilitysite.com/2007/02/...e_6_upgrad.php

2 customizing it for the device done for free/donation by xda-developers

3 testing it on the device done by users

so why it is considered illegal ?
