So.. I had the thing for all of a week, and I cracked my screen lastn ight leaning against a railing not realizing I had it on my belt. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this from personal experience or have a good quality repair center? I bought it on EBAY so I dont have the registration information or anything Thanks
Sending it off to PPCtechs in about an hour.. I was so excited to get the thing it was only $150, and now im paying $160 to get the screen fixed, all in all, I suppose $310 is still a good deal, and ill be a little more careful from now on as well..
Must not be a good week for hw6900s....mine fell out of my pocket this morning and took a swim....I'm not sure if that ruined it or not...I'm not going to turn it on until it's good and dry.

that sucks Julie!, did you ever look into that Armband I recommended on your blog? I still can't find mine anywhere since I moved, I might be purchasing a new one fairly soon
Just got my ipaq back last night, It was a super fast turnaround, and I am extremely pleased with the results, The price was a tough pill to swallow, but they had the best price form looking, just sucked I paid more to get the screen repaired then the phone cost!!) I would do business with them in the future, however I hopefully wont have to, because that means I broke it again!

Yeah, I got an armband for it, but for that situation, an armband would not have prevented it. Remembering to remove it from my pocket before leaning over to flush....oh well, you get the picture....would have been the best preventative measure.
After removing the battery and SD card, drying it out as much as possible, and leaving it to dry out under a warm lamp for 24 hours, I am happy to report that the hw6925 survived it's swim.

Well i was asking about the armband for the instance that i had recommended it for the purpose of just looking into it for the fitness thing, I just didn't want to create a new thread to specifically ask :) an armband would of prevented my breakage though as it wouldn't of been anywhere near my hip

Hi there
most important is that you are ok ,we can bay everything but ….:)
well if you have a friend that is an elc technician or a repair shop nearby
please ask them to open the device and use contact renew to spry the motherboard
when your device was swimming it got some water inside that is "eating up the print " very slowly
There are spry materials that will cover the board with thin cover that will keep the device working ok 4 long time
If you will not take care of it now in the long run you will get very bizarre malfunction starting from device radio –charging-screen fluctuating –os crash ….
Anyway good luck with it
