Corded Headphones/Headset(w/Voice)

Seems I'm just full of question, I bought the Jabra C220 thinking/hoping it might work for me its supposed to function as a Stereo Headphones and it has a Mic that you can talk on in case u get a cal or want it as just a headset. I plugged it in and go mono sound and I'm pretty sure the mic isn't active on it, I really like the style of these anyone seen ones like them or a way to make these compatible with the HW6945 (even if its just going to give stereo sound although the mic function would be cool? I couldn't find a compatibility chart anywhere.

Just a follow on question, i looked and saw that the Ipaq actually came with a set of Stereo headphones as well as a mic, anyone know how I could order a replacement, google and HP's site are not helping me out on that to much right now. Are they comfortable, like I said i just really liked the wraparound the ear style of these Jabras

The part number for the corded headset is Part number 383748-001. The headset costs $18.87 and you can order it from the HP parts store. Just enter the part number in the "search by part number" box and you will see the description of the headset and can add it to your cart.

Have you used them, are they comfortable or do they hurt after a while? Is there a wrap-around version?

They are the headset that comes with new IPAQs. They are quite comfortable and work very well - no wraparound version exists, but you could probably find a bluetooth wraparound headset that works (most bluetooth headsets work fine)

sorry to constantly have questions, What could you say about the sound quality for music, and voice when you are talking to someone on them, is the call quality decent? I am primarily interested in using these more so for listening to music while I run (BTW my AB8 tune belt came in!!) I will be ordering these shortly, Thanks!

The headset works very well, and I prefer listening to music with this headset rather than a bluetooth headset. I think corded headsets provide better and consistent sound than a cordless, bluetooth headset.

When I'm on the phone I can hear the other person very well (having a stereo headset is great - I am a little deaf in one ear from a childhood illness) and none of my callers have ever had a problem hearing me.

If you want really good quality sound for music on your hw6945, you might want to install this SRS WOW software. I installed it to my hw6925 and it's amazing! However, installing the software made it so my bluetooth A2DP headset does not work with the 6925 anymore - I can use the bluetooth headset for phone calls, but it does not work for music - I would have to perform a factory reset to get the bluetooth A2DP working again, but since I don't like listening to music with my bluetooth headset, this is not important to me.

Are these it? i found them for $5 on ebay, $10 when you add in shipping Seems a better del if they are the same thing, i cant tell because i dont have a n actual picture of the earphones that were included in the box. I keep seeing things saying the 6515, it also says 6945, but I saw something that said my Jabra set I bought was compatible with the 6515, however obviously wasnt with the 6945.

They look the sae. The headset is used for the hw6500s as well as the hw6900s. For the most part, any accessories you find for the 6500 will also work with the 6900s - the form factor is practically identical.

Just a quick FYI:

I ride a motorcycle and really love having my wired OEM headset connected when I go on long trips. I put on the jams & listen to the music as I'm riding. Then, when a phone call comes in, the music stops and the device auto-answers (there's a setting for that), and I can talk on the phone. I've found that the wind noise coming in under the helmet chin-guard is not so bad that we can't have at least a decent conversation. If things are really bad (at 60-80 mph), I can still tell them to hang on while I pull over. And, when the other person hangs up, the music starts back automatically. I never have to take neither my hands off the grips nor my eyes off the road to have music and phone answering capability at the same time.

When April met me in Dallas last November ('07), she was following along behind me & got lost (someone got between us), and so she called me & I was able to tell her what lane to use & when to turn off the freeway so that she didn't miss our exit - all without me ever having to slow down or change my level of concentration on the ride.

In fact, when I learned that HP isn't making the 6945 anymore, I ordered three extra sets of them. So, obviously, I'm pretty pleased with them.
