My iPaq has been stolen
Help! My iPaq has been stolen and I am having to replace it and I am about to pull my hair out deciding which one to buy. I had a 4355 that I loved. I am looking at the 4355 or the new 2400. Please let me know what you folks think and if you have any other suggestions please let me know. I use my iPaq for scheduling meetings, contacts and followups, email, and some spreadsheet work away from the office. I am relatively computer literate and am not afraid to learn new devices. I do not need gaming or video capabilities but I can use the internet connectivity. Any opinions will be appreciated.

Would you be interested in trying models with a VGA screen? You could look at the Axim X50V, Pocket Loox 720, HP iPaq HX4700, etc. They have much nicer screens and lots of options. They are fast, and have BT and WiFi (depends on which model)

Given the h4355 has a integrated thumboard I would imagine that you really liked that feature. If the use of a thumboard a preference for you?

I have the same problem. My iPAQ 4155 was snatched at a Christmas party. I can't decide now between the hx2755, which seems to have all the features and memory I could ever want, and the crowd pleasing hx4705. What are the real advantages of the 4705? I know the screen is supposed ot be super sharp, but I'm confused about the touch pad, do you not use a stylus on the screen with this model? I use my iPAQ mainly to store and process word doccuments. I used to have a 5550, which I loved, but it was heavy and big like the hx4705 so I didn't carry with me everywhere. The lightweight 4155 had me spoiled.
Pleeeeze help, I don't want to make the wrong choice.

Hi Tacobil - welcome to the site

I think that for you to be happy with your decision you need to find a 470x in a store and have a look at the screen - especially with Word documents as I believe that will help ypu make a decision.

Thanks Rob, and thanks for the welcome. Finding one in a store might be the best way to go, since I'm also worried about the touch pad. I'm all thumbs with the one on my laptop, but what I'm reading on this sites seems to suggest it's a better way to go. Since we're here to talk about the 27's though I have to say the size/ weight and high memory capacity are really attractive. But I had that biometric thumbprint deal on the 5450 and it was more of a pain than anything else. Has that improved on the 2755? Bottom line, who would you say the 2755 was made for (as opposed to the 470x)?
