hello everyone,
just got my ipaq 2750 and 5g seagate CF card(from ebay); unfortunately, ipaq keeps telling me "Unrecognized card...blah blah blah"; I tried to read and format the CF card in a card reader with desktop, everthing works fine; I call the HP service department, first of all, I can barely understand what he is talking about, secondly he told me as long as the card is win32, it should work, I tried soft/hard re-boot...nothing works.
Any help please! I heard some of you guys got this card work with ipaq 4700, then what's the difference, why not 2750?

Most of the cards on ebay are IDE mode locked cards. You were most likely sold a OEM locked card that has CF IO mode disabled. It should appear as working when connected to a computer through a card reader, since then it would be using the IDE mode.

Only retail cards, or the very earliest versions in the Rio Carbon's will work in handhelds, all others will not. I suggest you contact whomever sold you the card and return it.
