Help!! I've just ordered an ipaq
I hope you can give me some advice.
I have just ordered a new hx2110 with 312mhz processor from HP. I have a 512mb SD card already.
I am checking to see if it will be O.K to play movies on? The agent said it would be fine.
I am talking about movies for the kids, ie cartoons etc. Not fast action Matrix types.
Any advice would be really really appreciated.
Thanks

marky. Welcome to the site. Your 2110 is a very nice device and should be more than capable of playing movies. You should look at getting betaplayer to play back the movies. There's a link to it in my View MyPDA section. QAlso check out the Resources tab at the top of the web page on this forum for other info to help you get started with your PPC. Enjoy.

I think it will play movies nicely (kids or fast action), but just make sure to tone the resulotion down to 320-240 resultion before you play it or it might lag and take up more space than needed. I recommend using this encoder (it will mke ur videos fit on a ppc screen ) http://divx.ppccool.com/ with Beta plyer found here : http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/download.html.

Hi Mark - welcome to the site :approve"

The advantages of Betaplayer over WMP9 are numerous but include:
- less resource use
- more file types supported (ogg, avi etc etc)
- still being developed
- more configurable

It is a bit like comparing a frozen cheese pizza to a fresh super supreme
