Verify that you have the proc set to auto and you have the screen set to dim (both on and off AC power) after XX number of minutes. Then do a soft reset.

Do you have any today screen plug ins runnings? Any other apps running in the background?

Let us know if it still is unavailable.

I am really confused. What is proc and where can I find the option to adjust the dim?
When I go to setting and look at brightness is say "Property Sheet Demo"

I have dashboard, wizbar 1.3.2.2, battery pack pro.

Unfortunately, no. I can not figure out what program is causing this. I will probably have to reformat to fix it and for now, I don't have the time to do that.

Brightness Greyed Out
I have the same problem - I installed a program in "Today" - now uninstalled it but still can't access brightness control (greyed out) is there a registry fix that someone out there knows about. I don;t really want to hard reset, I've just got everything working the way I like it.

Believe it or not I think that is the perfect time to perform a 'hard reset'

The reason being is that in most programmes you can save your individual settings to files (obviously I mean for those programmes for those that you want to keep).

So save your settings, perform a hard reset, install only the programmes you want to use going forward then apply their settings files.

After that perform a full back-up, then sync to Desktop Outlook and away you go.

BTW - The reason I sync to Outlook AFTER I have installed all the programmes is that this then becomes my base system - which is easy to restore, PIM data changes and can always be sync'd to the information in Desktop Outlook afterwards

(As I have Sprite Premium I also have an automatic back-up regime for all my data if my iPaq happens to 'go wrong' during the day).
