BlueTooth telephony
A couple of years ago I saw a friend with a Psion click an entry in his address book caused his phone to dial the number. I thought that was great!

I noticed that the hx2750 came with BT Phone manager and naively assumed that this would allow me to do the same thing. Is this possible and if so how can it be achieved>

First you will need a bluetooth enabled phone.

Then you need to "pair" them together.

Then you can do what you want

For help with Bluetooth have a look at Ted's guide in my MyPDA.

Thanks Rob

I read Ted's article and it explained the dialing issues with his Sony-Ericson phone. I was experiencing the same thing on a model T610. I shall install the Vito software and hope this fixes the problem

One step forward...
Rob

In the end I did not need to download an alternate dialler as the built in one seems to work OK now. I guess that the phone didn't like the particular number the iPAQ was trying to dial!

Yesterday I bought a Jabra headset and successfully paired this to the phone. Tis works extremely well although now I cannot dial via my iPAQ.

The message I get is:
"This applet requires the Serial Port Profile (SPP) on the remote phone. Please make sure it is available and configured"

It appears that the T610 can only handle one Bluetooth device at a time.

Has this been your experience too?

Roger

I don't have a SonyEricsson but I thought they could handle more than one connection at a time

Maybe time for you to do a google search.

Some phones don't allow multiple connections. So in this case you need to have the PPC drop the BT connection to the phone so that the phone would be able to connect to the BT headset.
