HX2750 frozen
I had my first 2750 for 6 days. It froze up solid after a hard reset. I returned it and got a new one. This new one that is 2 days old is now doing the same thing. ARRRRRGGGHHHH I am taking the gears from my g/f for spending so much money on it already and she doesn't know that it is screwed... Please help me avoid the whining!!!!!
I have hard reset the device and when the Windows Mobile screen comes up it wont respond to my screen commands. If I hit the middle button the screen changes to the Align Screen but the "tapping" of the stylus does nothing. I have tried removing the battery over night...nothing. I have soft reset and hard reset so many times I am affraid I will wear out the reset button.
I did an online session with an HP rep 3 times but they just said to get it replaced again
Not an option as the store that I bought it at has no more left until next week sometime. Besides, I don't want to have to keep exchanging it
In the mean time thanks for any help

Have you put a sceen protector on your machine? if so, remove it.

Also remove any storage cards and try again.

No options installed
Thanks for the response Rob but I have no expansion cards in it and no screen protectors (as I haven't had it long enough to get any options for it).

If that is the case and it doesn't respond after a hard reset - then you really have to get a replacement (are you sure the store didn't just give you your origianl one back - as I have never heard of anybody having the same problem with two differnet units0.

Same Problem
I have had the same problem on my HX4700. I sent it for repair and they told me they had cleaned the "bezel" and dried it. It has happened to me serveral times since (and it annoys me) it seems to be moisture that somehow gets in and stuffs up the touch screen - its seems to happen in humid environments.

I have managed to wrap it up in newspaper and put it in the sun and it seems to dry it out. My old Ipaq 2210 never had this problem - and I used to take it with me on sea kayaking trips!

In addition when i do a hard reset it says PLease wait for over 2 hours.... There has to be something wrong with the software there is no way that 3 new ipaqs have the same problem.

Can someone please tell me what to do?

HX2750 frozen update
Hello Rob,

OK i switched to a new ipaq again # 4 and over the weekend i figured out what cause the ipaq to frezze.

I installed PDAC Hebrew on my and after a soft restart the ipaq went into hebrew mode. Than i went into settings and changed it to english. That cause the problem.

The HEBREW wasnt for 2nd edition. I contacted the PDAC company and there going to look in the problem.

IN addition i spoke to HP USA and they mentioned to me if the software installed isnt 2nd addition it wilol caus ethis problem.

Thanks
Dave
PS: Rob please can you cantact me or send me an email,
