More Newbie (Wanna Be, Actually) Questions. . .
As much as I hate to admit it here, I am a Palm user. . . I have, however, seen the error of my ways and would like to trade up to a new iPAQ. I was thinking about either the hx2750 or hx4700, leaning toward the hx2750
(I think called the hx2755 in the USA, although if there are differences between the hx2750 and hx2755, I would appreciate being set straight) although I am open to suggestions. What I would like to know, however, is whether I will be able to do everything (and hopefully more) I can on my Tungsten C, especially with regard to wireless networking. Specifically, I would like to know how easy it is to set up the iPAQ to print wirelessly on my networked HP OfficeJet 7140xi via 802.11. Anyone tried this yet? Also, I assume the functionality of the web browser on the iPAQ is much better than on the Palm? Half the websites I want to browse won't let me in presently because the Palm has trouble not allowing pop ups (the good kind) and is shaky at best with regards to Java. Also, for when I can't get a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth hotspot, does anyone know how easily the hx2750 will connect using my Bluetooth enabled phone? My service provider said it would be easy, although I would need a voice and data plan, but I don't trust anything they say when they are trying to get me to change my plan, as I am presently locked into a plan so good they don't offer it anymore and don't want to switch until I know I need to. Pretty much anything you can tell me about the hx2750 and its use in the real world would be appreciated. I know my Tungsten C ran into a problem with memory, despite putting all my data on SD cards the 64MB just wasn't close to enough to run all the programs I needed! Thanks!

Craig.

I think so, but it will, in most instances, require the purchase of additional software.

It's not too difficult. Depends on your network and the security you have on it.

Pocket IE will be a disapointment, but there are tweak programs that will allow it to emulate IE6.

It's gonna be hard to hear from a lot of folks this early about how "easy" or not the 2750 is compared to other devices becuase it's only been out a short time. You may be the one telling us about all this in the near future (and we welcome it ) if you decide to go that way towards the 2750.

Well I'd vote the 2750:

* buttons
* qVGA means less CPU consumed
* biometrics
* expanded rom/ram
* buttons (did I say that already;-)
* price
