hx2750 and low volume
Has anyone else noticed that the volume from the speaker is very low on these new hx units? The 2 lower levels are almost useless. I must keep it on the second highest level to hear anything, and the highest setting is quite distorted. The speakers used in the rx series are far better than these, that's for sure.

I agree with you (from the 4700 series anyway). It seemed like both the 3600 and 3900 series devices I had were much louder (better sounding too).

Correct, the sound/volume on the 2750 is a lot less than on my old 3950. The volume has got to be set to nearly the top to hear much over the speaker.
I have not tried to listen to music with head phones. Wonder if the problem is similar ?

Sound over headphones and earbuds is not a problem.
