Wireless Woes
I thought I would start my own thread here, because I am experiencing several problems that others are seeing on an individual basis.
There seems to be a problem with the security features of the hx2750 and the wireless radios. If I enable the security without the BT radio on, then afterwards, the BT radio will not turn on. I must perform a soft-reset to gain access to it again. This is my first problem.
Problem 2: If I turn WIFI on, and power off the unit, the indicator light will continue to flash, and the unit will become unresponsive. The power button and removal of the battery wont fix this. Placing the unit in the cradle or attaching it to a charger will hard-reset it!! The only way to fix is to soft-reset. After a soft-reset, the wireless settings are not available. I can click on the program icon, but nothing happens. Several soft resets later and I will be able to disable the WIFI radio (which by the way, is not on, even though the indicator light says otherwise).
I am not sure how to poceeed. I have tried disabling all of my today apps (Pocket Plus, and WorldMate Pro), but with no success. Any ideas on what might be causing these problems. As I said above, other people seem to be having these problems, just not compounded like mine. I hope it is just a software problem, but I have my doubts.

I solved my own problem. It was WorldMate Pro that was causing all my problems. I did a frest install of everything but that and it worked fine. Then I double checked and reinstalled WorldMate, which caused errors once again. So we can add that to JournalBar and BatteryPackPro as apps. that do not work with the security features enabled.

Hello LorettaBoy
Hi LorettaBoy,
Im new to this forum and I really really want to buy an Hp Ipaq rx3715. I have been doing research for a while now and just recently have noticed many people having problems with this unit. I have been reading most of your posts and they have been very helpful and informative....sorry to here about all the problems you had to go through. I also noticed that you currently have a different Ipaq. I am hoping you can help me out with a few questions.

I live Canada aswell and I can't find this rx3715 Ipaq anywhere...how did you get yours?

Did that file store issue ever get fixed or resolved? Does hp have a patch or a current update for this issue?

Why did you end up switching...do you like your new model better?
Sorry for all the questions, Im just confused right now....thanks
