Is the 2750 worth it???
Because of the memory, I was ready to buy an Ipaq 2750 until I read this forum. It seems that this series contains as many lemons as apples. As a grad student, my stipend will not allow me to purchase multiple devices until I get one that works as advertised. Can anyone suggest which Ipaq is most suitable for taking/keeping notes and data storage with a keyboard? I need dual memory slots, powerpoint, and wifi, anything else is just clutter. Thank you.

The 2750 is a great ipaq. The problems i had are solved after reading different forums.

Pretty much the same goes for me too. I love this iPAQ, and it's running very smoothly now. Gotta love the 128MB of RAM!

Hi eeyore. There is no "perfect/faultless" iPAQ out there yet. Many of the things you read about one model or the other can be said to be tru of other models, mainly becuase a lot of the issues that come up are becuase of software people load on their device and how they configure (or don't) that software. The 2750 seems like a very sound device over all.

The HP2570 is by far the best one that I have had (I've had a 3630, 3835, 2215, and even an old Palm Pilot)...you can't go wrong!

I had some trouble in the beginning, but all of these can be attributed to software setups of additional installed software. Once I was over that hurdle, it's been plain sailing from then on. Speed is excellent, Wifi and Bluetooth is easy to use, battery lasts long, biometric finger reader works great (seems to have little difficulty if my fingers are cold) and of course the LOTS of RAM and iPaq FileStore and the Secure digital and Compact Flash expansion slots make this a really great device.
I certainly don't regret having purchased the hx2750
