New hx2415 Owner question!
Hi All, Picked up the last hx2415 at the local Staples about a weekago, got it for $249 on clearance, WHAT A BARGAIN!!! Any way, I got it home and charged it. Installed AS 4.1 on my PC and synced it with Outlook. This is to replace an aging Tungsten T3, which I hated but it did the job. One thing it had over the 2415 was the screen. Much better. Well I checked HP's site and saw there was a ROM update to.1.10, mine came with 1.04 I believe. Downloaded it and ran the update. Now the 2415 runs slowly. When I click on the start button it takes a second for it to appear, the screen refresh is really slow and program switching is slow. If I have WMedia player playing an MP3 and then go and open another app the MP3 with skip. This is even when I have done a soft reset, with no apps runnning. I have ordered the free upgrade to WM5 but I am reluctant to install it now. Any ideas?

Thanks

TRy WM5 - there are ways to speed it up and if you don't like it the CD has a re-install for CE that is a cleaner 1.10 install than the upgrade.

Do try the WM 5.0 upgrade, I did it on my 2415 and I'm quite happy with it. I like a lot of the features, but check first if there are any programs you currently depend on which may not yet work well under 5.0.
