Should I return mine and get a new one? Bluetooth...
I have the infamous Bluetooth problem on my 2495, where I get the "insufficient driver memory" error everytime I try to enable bluetooth. I've tried everything I could think of, turning off wifi and just having bluetooth, doing a hard reset, doing a clean? reset, practically everything. My question is is there a way to fix it? Or should I return it to the store and exchange it for a new one?

Thanks in advance,
Shmenge

Try upgrading your ROM version to 1.10.09. Never had that problem after I upgraded to it. It's available in the HP website. ü

No rom upgrade comes up when I punch in "ipaq 2495" in the software and drivers download section. Are you sure its for the 2495?

There is no ROM upgrade currently available for the 2490 series - the 1.10.14 one currently available is for the 2110/2410/2750 series, which used WM2003SE.

If you go to the 2490 page, you'll notice it says 'no drivers currently available'. Personally, I'd return the bugger and try to swap for one which has fewer problems.

The 2495 comes with WM5. There isn't a ROM upgrade for it yet. I have not had a problem with Bluetooth, nor have I read about this problem with the 2495.

Are you sure you are doing a Clean Reset (hold calendar, message, power while pressing the reset button with the stylus)? To confirm, after you do the reset, does the unit say "Formatting Flash"? If you did a Clean Reset, all 3rd party programs are removed.

If you get the error when you click

Start / Ipaq wireless / Round Bluetooth icon on the left bottom

after you do a clean reset, then there must be something wrong with your unit.

If you get the error later on (for example, after you click Settngs or Manager) and the blue light is flashing, it could also be a cockpit error. In that case, it might be worth while checking the floor model at a store, or telling us more about what you are doing when this error occurs.
