Hx2110 and CF wireless card
ok so i got an oldie, freebe HX2110, i want to use it for work when stuck on boring shifts, bit of net surfing etc,

it has a lovely Compact flash slot so purchased a Agere Wireless lan card (model CF-b-ag-01)

anyway atm i cannot activesync as i have no usb cable (on its way in post) and bluetooth activesync seems impossible ( i think its the pc i am on wireless card)

anyway. I was hoping I could install my wireless card etc manually (load the files onto a SD card, then download them onto the Ipaq, only trouble is I do not know how/or how to install, the only drivers on my driver cd is for either windows or for CE300/400, cant find win2003,

help please, my knowlege of PDA/win mobile is very limited.

Regards
Hellfire

only bluetooth,

anyway i got the card installed, using drivers of the disk, seemed fine, connected at work but not at home, thought it was the livebox we have at home, to moden maybe, however the problem has also started to occur at work,

I insert the wireless card and it turns the pda on, normally a symbol (connection symbol) comes up to let you know the cards in, and you click it to connect (choose a network to connect too) however sometimes (most times) it starts flashing like its connected to something, i go to the connection screen and just says what connections are "avaliable" and not connected to any of them. when i try to connect it says "connecting" and thats it untill i move of the screen, go back on and its gone back to avaliable (hope this makes sense) so it never connects, i go to programs and the Agere client, it says i am connected to the connection, its a good connection etc but it's not, the website doesn't work. this also only happens sometimes 3/4 out of 5 times,

drivers seem to be updated 7.something i believe, HELP please it's running windows pocket pc 2003,

You might try going into the list of networks (with the card inserted, go Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Advanced (tab), Network Card) and removing all the listed networks (hold the stylus on each and select Remove settings). Sometimes when the list is long, the device becomes confused. Note that you will only be able to remove the networks that are out of range. While you are in these settings, OK your way back to the previous page and chose 'Select Networks.' Select 'My Work Network' in both dropdown lists.

After doing this, OK your way back to the Today page and soft reset. When the device finds the network you want to use, tell it to connect with the 'Work' settings.
