I have an older HX2495b and the up/down buttons at random give a double press. I had sent this in for repairs 3 times and they never fixed it and just gave me a giftcard which went for my laptop. I was wondering if I could fix it since they let me keep it. They told me it was a corrupt file?

sounds like the board needs to be replaced. the button pads on pdas and small electronic devices are very small and can be damaged. it doesnt sound like a software issue where you would be able to fix it yourself.

i would consider getting a new board or a new device
