Active sync and rebooting bios and No connection help...

after doing a hard reset and loosing my bios of 1.00.01, HP says that that bios never existed...so I installed the 1.00.00, and the firmware update, no I am getting the error that my active sync wont "sync" my calander files, either from my laptop or desktop. I am getting error 80070490. HP online "help" keeps telling me it's my versions of Outlook, but it has worked for the past year, no problems. Please any body have any ideas so tht I can stop dealing with the idiots at HP.......

Perform a clean reset of your device. Then delete your ActiveSync partnership and create a new partnership. Reboot your computer. Now try to sync.

Julie......Your AWESOME!!!!!!

It took you all of 5 minutes to fix my problem, seriously I have been shooting emails back and forth with the HP "experts" since early this morning!
Now how about that bios 1.00.01, is there anything different then what I have? (the bios 1.00.00, and the firmware fix?)

Glad to hear you got ActiveSync working again!

You have a 2790? There was a ROM update (V1.00.01) on HP's website at one time, but it wasn't there for long. HP removed it some time ago and they have not returned it. I don't think it was a significant update in that there were no noticeable improvements after it was installed (at least that is what I read about it).

yeah 2795, 90. Same thing i think. Well after reinstalling the .00 bios, and the firmware update, it seems that my 2795 is running a bit slower, seems that it takes it a second more to process, it might be just me though...
