Download music from internet? Like purchase the songs, somewhere like Napster or Rhapsody? Or to transfer the songs you already have? From CDs turn them into mp3 and then drop them into your memory card and transfer them?

First off, do you have any mp3s from cds you put on your computer? If you do, you can transfer these to your device. You store the songs to the device, but most don't have enought space, so in your case a sd or cf card, which ever your device is compatabile with. Then play them with either an internal media player, or one that you download and put on your device. Most come with a player of some sort already. You can hear them with an internal speaker, headphones from a 3.5mm port if equipped, or blue tooth if equipped. Please specify exactly what you don't understand so we can make certain we answer your question directly and effectively.

If you choose to download music it must be from a paid site to be legal. Just make sure the music is compatabile with your device, some songs come in different formats other then mp3 or have a security feature. Find out before you pay. You would download the songs to your computer, then transfer what you want to your device, just like music from your cd collection.

I like to use the Walmart.com MP3's for .88 a piece. They have DRM on them (they are actually .WMA but you burn them as an audio CD then rip them on your HDD as MP3s).

bobby9621 has some good advice for you Jennifer.

Personally, my preference is to use the CDs I have because I own them, they are very easy to "rip" and I pick and choose what files I want to transfer onto an SD card.

Actually, I have several SD cards with different albums on them that I take with me on trips so I always have a great variety of msic that I enjoy to listen to.

You can also rip songs from your cds if you want to start there.
