Pocket Informant 5 and iPaq Case
I noticed that the HX4705 comes with Pocket Informant 5 (that is really nice), but I was wondering how easy it will be to obtain the update to 5.11? On the creators website, it allows you to enter a working serial number but I'm worried that HP won't send a serial number. It may just be in the Rom!

Also, I would like to know what people recommend for a case. I would like a soft leather case that is very small and isn't very heavy, but it would be nice if it had some slots for cards and maybe even a place for money. Then, it could just about replace my wallet. I'm sure they make some like this. There are so many cases available and I'm not sure if people will be able to recommend one since this device isn't even out yet, but just tell me whatever you can think of. Is the HX4705 much bigger than the H5555?

That is a good question... and it would not surprise me if you would have to purchase any further upgrades of Pocket Informant. This is a great business move for WebIS... they can offer free copies to Hp for people to try... and if they want the upgrade they would need to pay for it.

I would assume... that the version bundle would come "as is" better than Pocket Outlook... so a win win for everyone involved.

I think it is on the ROM. When I had a PPC2002 device, Reader was on the ROM and the Reader update added files to the RAM. Basically I believe the RAM worked with the ROM for Reader, but I did end up with a ROM and a RAM help file. I ended up deleting the RAM help file. I no techno however.

With regard to PI in ROM and the upgrade policy Alex at PI discussed this a couple of weeks ago. See this thread:
