eCost order question
For those that ordered from eCost, what model did you get?

I ordered through Rome to get the great $579 deal and my receipt shows the HX4705. This release date shows 3-4 weeks and a website price of $649.
However, when I check out the HX4700, it shows a website price of $634 and a release date of Aug/Sep.

Which one should be coming out on August 18th?

I heard that as of today, the HX4705 is still scheduled to be received by eCost on Wednesday, August 18, 2004. I THINK that the HX4700 may be the same - but that is my guess. I have no info on the HX4700.

So, we got a very good deal on the 4705 then? That is nice. I would have assumed eCost would give us a good deal on the cheaper one... The prices, model numbers and dates confused me.

As talked about in another forum, really, the only main differences between the 4700 and 4705 is that the 4700 is for businesses and the 4705 is for consumers. This allows HP to track sales better. In addition, the 4705 comes with a trial addition of Resco Explorer 2003 while the 4700 does not. I really am looking forward to it shipping on the 18th! Yes, everyone who ordered through Rome got, in my opinion, a very good deal. I'm sure many people would agree with me though. It's $65 less than retail (When you include their handling fee), plus free shipping, and no tax for most people!
