I found that most of the Pocket PC games are terrible in terms of graphics. With 620 mhz of the new HX4700, will there be games that is equivalent to Gameboy Advanced?

Is it due to the limitation of graphics card or operating system?

Why do you think current games are terrible? I don't agree. Besides, it totally depends on developers and if they want to make games like Game Boy Advance games. If you want Mario, then you'll need a GBA. Although, why doesn't Nintendo make games for PPC. They make most of the money on the games - not the hardware. They could make both! I do agree that the game developers need to take it a little deeper, though. We have plenty of basic games - like solitare! I can't imagine spending $20 on those solitare packs! I would like to spend $20 on a huge game that takes hours to play. I like Fade - but it is only pictures and not really any animation. Thanks.

iPaqs are in the business/productivity arena so not many big name game developers will make software for it. I think Windows CE and the peformance of the HX are up to the task, it is just not a big money maker... You never know though! There are some handhelds out there with game adapters.

Believe it or not, there are some great games currently available and with increased performance and graphic capability on the horizon, the developers will have more and more envelope to push.

As for comparisons, the current pocket PCs on the market outperform the GBA, just not geared towards gaming for the most part.

I am aiming for space shooter games like R-Type with superb graphics. Know of any out there?

I just love space-shooter games....fly around, obtain super weapons, and blast the heck out of the space invaders. Now that is cool.
