Alternatives to Extended Battery
I do not want an extended battery because I am not going to settle for it like I did with my 3835 (cf card expansion pack--made the thing huge!). I would like to buy either a standard profile battery that is double capacity (one company is working on it I think) or I would like to buy something that would hold AA batteries (rechargeable NiMH) and I could then plug my ipaq into that. I could carry the pack which would be a bit large, but that wouldn't bother me. What does everyone think? I know its dumb to ask this, but I would also prefer to buy the AA bettery thing from Buy.com (if possible). I don't want to give my credit card to yet another company. I also could use Amazon. Thank you!

Why not just buy an additional slim battery?
I got one from HP just the other day. I just expected the battery, but it comes with a charger and a passthru to allow connection with the cradle. Extended is fine, I had one for my Axim, but it does destroy the ability to get standard cases.

I don't want to have to stop everything that is running in order to change batteries. Also, I don't like discharging my battery fully. I would rather do that to AA batteries since I can buy 4 of them, which should be plenty of batteries to charge it.

I'm just getting a second standard 1800mAh battery.

It doesn't bother me to switch batteries after 5 hours of continuous use.

You can get 5 hours? That seems like a bit more than I get...maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have not really tested it but I should. What settings do you have everything on? Really low backlight, no wifi/bluetooth, not heavy processor usage?
