Well I cancelled my x50v order and picked up a hx4700 from Office Depot yesterday. It wsn't that bad of a deal since they offer a free membership that gives you 10% back on all of your purchses. Plus instant gratification is always nice

The wait for the x50v was just too long. I was also disappointed in the emulator performance on the x50v. Not to mention I never liked the look of the x50v.
Over my life I have went from a Palm IIIxe to a Palm V to a Zaurus 5500 to a Sony NR70v to a Ipaq 2215 to a 4155 to a Treo 600 and a Zaurus c860. So far I am happier with the hx4700 than any of the others. I sat in bed last night and browsed the internet for an hour or two. I never did that with the others because they were just to hard to use for internet browsing. There was always too much scrolling with the older PDAs. Even without SE_VGA I could easily browse this forum and a number of other sites. I even placed an order on Cases.com from the Ipaq.
I love the look of the hx4700. I think it is the best looking PDA I have had. The metal casing is a nice touch. I was a little worried about the size but I don't have any problem with it. It is very thin and smaller than the Zaurus.
I loaded Morphgear on it and ran Final Fantasy 4 without a problem. The touchpad isn't as bad as people make it sound. It was quite easy to use, and I do like the calendar, address book, etc... buttons. I can't see myself using cursor mode often but I like the touchpad for regular use as much as a dpad.
This is the fastest PDA I have used. Web browsing was extremely slow on the Treoo 600 and not the best on the 4155. I can actually see myself using the hx4700 on the couch instead of sitting on the computer browsing the internet.
I was a little worried about the pressing down on the screen and seeing the LCD rainbow/smear effect. It is no where as bad as the Treo 600. Under normal use I barely notice it. On the Treo I would press down and 3/4 of the screen would give that effect. Besides that the hx4700's screen is a sight to behold.
Tonight I am going to load the rest of my PPC apps and watch a few movies on it.
So far this is the best PDA purchase I have made. I am happy I picked it up instead of waiting for the Dell.
