I ordered my hx4705 from amazon a week ago. Waiting for it to ship. I'm a serious gamer and when I came across this forum I became disheartened hearing about how the touchpad renders gaming impossible. I was wondering if the BenQ Gamepad would work with the hx4705. It isn't designed for it so it won't fit on the 4705, but the are extender cables so you could still connect it. Any thoughts? I hope this works. If no one knows I might try it when my ppc finally arrives. But if it doesn't work I don't think we will have to wait too long for someone to either develope a gamepad for the hx4705 or there will be a bluetooth option. But the waiting around for the developers....

A couple of developers actually did this a few years ago for the Gravis Stinger serial gamepad. Check out this thread over on Brighthand:

From the 4th page of that thread you can still download one of those drivers (iStinger). After quite a search, nobody seems able to locate the other driver which was called cgmapper.
I actually have the gomadic serial adapter AND a gravis stinger AND an hx4700...but the iPAQ is in for servicing due to wifi problems

, so I haven't tried it out yet.
