Screen protectors for the 4700
Hi chaps

I know this has probably been discussed already (maybe someone will point me towards the right thread) but which is the best screen protector (preferably available in the UK) for the 4700 and why?

I thank you all again for your experience & wisdom, you guys sure do help the novice.

Oxford

PS. My 4700 should arrive any day now

I am actually testing Brando's right now which I will post my results to my site and Boxwave is sending me some as well. I have already used NuShields and they would be fine if they didn't block so much light but also, when I used them with my 3835, they never bubbled up, but with my hx4700, they always do! It is very strange indeed.

I read a review of screen savers either at Brighthand or Pocket PC Thoughts earlier this year. The PPC Tech and Boxwave products were rated the tops. I purchased the Boxwave protectors and they have been great!!!

I am using the Proporta screen protector. Easy to install, no bubbling and feels good with the stylus. Its matt finish helps with glare without significantly reducing brightness.

I'm using transparent film with soft adhesive used in sign making/print shops. I'm in this kind of business and had the opportunity to do some testing.

I found this: http://www.orafol.de/eng/pdf/620.pdf to do a great job.
You can get 1 sq. meter for 5 bucks/euros or less which could be a lifetime supply.
This kind of material can be found at most manufacturers worldwide. It should be thin (less than 0.1 mm), transparent & clear, with removable/ultraremovable adhesive, adhesive power less than 5 N/25mm. For ex. maybe a better choice would have been http://www.orafol.de/eng/pdf/1610.pdf with 1.5 N/25mm but I couldn't get it, I ordered a sample and i'll have it in a couple of weeks.

All you have to do is cut pieces 62 x 82 mm from this material (which i cut on a cutter-plotter)

You can also check with the sign making/print shops in your area and you might get pieces/samples for free.

Good luck!

You could try ordianary kitchen "Cling Film". It's cheap and comes in 30m rolls. You could "protect" a whole barge load of PPC's with it. When it gets old, whip off a new peice from your roll.

It also has the benefit of keeping food fresh - I bet Boxwave can't do that

You could try ordinary kitchen "Cling Film". .........
Doesn't work if you're using apps. that need dragging (file explorers, card games, ...) and/or u get closer to the screen edge/corner.

If you use duct tape make sure its the clear /transparent variaty. The other kind protects the screen really well but you can't see anything
