charging questions
Two vague questions for anyone who can answer

1) how "warm" should the iPaq4700 get while charging before I need to get nervous that somethign is wrong

2) how much does having a CF II card in place, not being used, decrease the battery life, if any?

Thanks,

Gyl

1. Mine gets pretty warm. I would worry when you see flames

2. Not enough I would worry about it. I can't think at all if it truly is not being used at all.

I am not comparing like for like as I have a 4150 but I would imaginge the charging electronics to be very similar hence the post.

My 4150 used to get very hot when it was being charged by Seidio car mount (the mount was faulty) fortunately the iPaq detected when it was outside its operating temperature and shuts down the charging circuit down until the ipaq had cooled sufficiently.

Warning message is displayed when it is too hot.

If the same is true of a 4700, I cannot be certain but someone else may know more.

You also have a metal case with the 4705, so you will feel more heat.
