All experts,
I bought a HP/Compaq 56 k CopactFlash Modem (Model FB CFVFM-5614RD).
I cann't get it to work.
Does anyone have a modem which works with the hx 4700?

I have a billionton 56k v90 cf modem....Will try it and get back to you if I can make it work (Have no standard dialup account anymore, so bear with me for a coupel of hours)

After many hours I made it! Some time was lost because I forgot two letters in my account name. The other problem was the very short manual. But now I am happy to be able to travel around with the possibility to log on to my provider.
I was a bit anxious because I bought the HP CF Modem for a very good price (39€) in eBay.de.

Gerhard does the HP modem have sound? I have a Pretec and it works flawless BUT.. it is silent. This is a problem in hotels and internationally. Hearing the dialing tone and the twitter or the error messages tells you what went wrong which I prefer a lot.
