Hi,

any one know of an application that moves the scroll bars to the other side of the screen? Not a problem for right handed people, but for all those lefties out there (like me!) we end up either having to use the 'wrong' hand or face covering up the screen while we use the scroll bars...maybe this could be something to add to tweak2k?

j/k - would be nice - when I let my wife use it to surf, etc...she has the same problem as a leftie...

I am a lefty too and it sucks. At least in landscape mode there is an option usually to rotate it to the preferred side for the buttons... however, the scroll bar are still on the wrong side :-)

hmm, i havent seen anything like that...but thats a good idea for a program....

UPDATE: I found this app for palm... http://www.strout.net/pilotsoft/lefty/intro.shtml but still nothing for ppc....i will keep looking though

Yeah that's true. One of my elder relatives used to tell me in some schools they forced the lefty kids to use their right hand, and it would create extreme psychological damage. I guess left-handedness has a lot to do with how your brain works in other aspects.

i suppose that being left handed has its advantages...i managed to win an LCD whinging about this problem

another thing that doesnt support lefties is transcriber. :How do write an 'O' ? anticlockwise? Lefites write it clockwise....there are others but i wont bore you with them

What I really want is a program that indiscriminately draws a MIRROR IMAGE of the screen. Then all my writing will be backwards, and text will be printed backwards, and it'll be identical to the right-handed experience except totally designed for lefties.

If anybody knows of such a thing, please post info here!! If anybody else wants a program like this, post here and maybe I'll end up writing it myself.

EDIT: Does Nyditot Virtual Display already do this? It won't run on my 2003SE machine..

I was always told to use my right hand to write... until i broke my right wrist just before my exams at 16 years old. I then had to write with my left hand. I suddenly discovered i could write just as untidly with my left hand as my right. Since then I have found the talent to use either quite useful.
Trouble is that no one can read what I write regardless of which hand I use.
School never helped with that one

I can attest to that. When I was in 1st grade my teacher tied my left hand behind my back so I wouldn't use the "evil hand" to write. We're not talking that ancient history either (I was born in 1957 so it happened in 1963) - trust me, my parents had quite the fit when they found out what was going on.

The reason that I know is that my uncle (who went to the same schools as I did) plays golf, cricket, snooker and tennis left handed but writes right handed as he was 'made' to at school!
