CNET reviews hx2715
Well Cnet reviews the hx2715. From their review it looks like it depends on what you you want there are disadvantages such as shorter battery life. Depending on whether you want a smaller PDA or a larger screen will also be a factor on which PDA is better for you. They also say that the hx2715 is better for gaming.

IMO, if it had a vga screen it would be the ultimate pda. I know many of you think you don't care much for a vga screen but after you see one you're hooked.

But I would never trust a cnet review, as they are always biased. I am waiting on a true review (E.G: Chris) about this ipaq.

CNET is biased. In what way are they biased. Is it towards a particular maker or is it something else?

Ultimate? I don't think so. Even the CNET reviews call it "hefty". Shrink it down to the 4150 dimensions and you'll have the ultimate PDA.

Well that is your opinion. I think the 4150 is too small for my taste. I was never a fan of that form factor.

I agree. I like a larger pda in fact.

As for Cnet, they tend to be unprofesional and tend to point out things that have no point, and are their opinion. They are also biased torwards the one who sends them the most money, which tends to be HP. They just don't know their stuff very well, and always seem to skip over the things that are wrong with the device and always go on with the good parts.

The people who I look forward to review stuff are: Thegadgeteer, ppcthoughts, ipaqhq and aximsite. Barginpda is also very good.

That may be so. However, many including dedicated PPC sites, have praised the 4150's form factor and have lamented the fact that HP has abandoned it. Once again I may add, is I don't always want to carry a bag to put a PPC in. The 4150 is the first PPC I have owned (see sig) that was small enough to fit comfortably into a shirt pocket, front (or back) pants pocket.

Shouldn't the "perfect" POCKET PC be one that actually fits into a Pocket without being a bother? Isn't that why they call it Pocket PC?

Actually I have never had a problem putting any of the pocket pc's I have owned in my pocket including my hx4705. I never understand why people say they have trouble putting one larger pocket pc in their front pocket. I rather have a PDA with a large screen and built sturdy.

Why do you think all pocket pc's other than a select few are bricks? I am a short person, and have small hands but even the hx4705 fits fine in a pocket. I generally don't need to have it in a shirt pocket, but when you reduce size you also reduce features such as a compact flash, larger screen, bio fingerprint reader, ect..

But we all have our likes and dislikes I suppose.

I love to see someone get a 4700 into the front (or back pocket) of a pair of 501 Levi's.

Is that implying that a diminuitive size determines sturdyness? I can guarantee you based on my PDA history and experience that the 4150 is one tough cookie. I have held the new 1700 and 3000 series and they feel like toys.

I can most definatly agree with you on that. I have no clue what HP was thinking there.

But it still is less sturdy than many other pocket pc's due to the pure size of the unit, but I don't hold that as a negitave, because I treat my pda's like babys anyways.

Exactly. I personally like larger pda's, but that is pure oppinion. And I also do not wear levi's, but I can fit my friends hx4700 in my slacks also.

Don't wear Levi's and very rarely wear jeans of any type for that matter but I have no problem fitting my 4700 in my slacks. I never tried to put it my back pocket but I never put anything in my back pockets any way.

Yeah, I wear slacks to work (thank goodness for business casual - I remember the days - not that long ago - where suit and tie were required). However, if you don't mind me asking, what do you wear on the weekends? I don't think I have ever known anybody that doesn't wear jeans at some time or another.

I usually wear slacks, Kakis, or shorts.
