activesync losing connection when transferring files
Hi guys

im now a proud owner of a new HX4700, i however have a problem regarding activesync. It seems to lose connection after a while for no apparent reason. Im trying to transfer a 175mb xvid file over to the CF card, and it always cuts off when the file is 90.4 mb copied - the partial file is there.

I dont understand why this happens. I was thinking it was the USB fast charge option because when i had it on and the ipaq is full, the device would beep and then the usb connection icon on the ipaq would disappear as well as the activesync icon on my pc.

oki i just allocated more memory towards program and it worked! It must have run out of system resources - file transfer (175 file) + activesync USB connection.

There are occasions where you could run into problems transferring large files via AS. For one it is extremely slow. I use a cheap USB card reader that works so much faster than AS.

Ted,
Thanks for your frequent posts of good information and problem solving.

Is there a tutorial to get from stupid to functional in DVD downloading and viewing? Most of what I read on here is way over my head, I am sorry to admit. I have held off on purchasing DVD related software, awaiting forum insights; and am now almost ready to begin the plunge, but still have a lot of unanswered questions.
Thanks,
John

Our fearless leader Chris has just posted a link to a tutorial that one of our members put together on Aximsite. The link is available on this site. I'll dig it up for you.
