Bluetooth headphones?
Are HP's new BT headphones worth buying? I'd love to be able to use my 4700 wirelessly, just wondering if these do the job.

Thanks

Try a quick search, there are several reviews of them on several different forums.

They work and are pretty decent. Some people are hving problems with popping. My own opinion is this is a partially due to the ipaq (resources when playing, memory available, cpu, etc). I also understand that wi-fi and other items can interfere. Not an expoert here, so I can't say for sure if that is true.

I find they are not perfect. For example, I listened to music for approx 2 hours. I had the pda clipped to my pocket. I had about 5 times where the music seemed to skip. Other than that it was fine. I could walk around my office with the pda in the cradle and it was fine.

Worth the money? For me yes, becuase I like getting these gadgets. Not alot of choices out there either. I don't have a problem with a bit of popping now and then, but I would enjoy them more at $49.99

I think that it is worth it compared to the Bluetake headphones which is twice as much. For me the the headphones have worked well. I do get occassional static or skips but not enough to annoy me. I contribute this to interference. Any wireless device can be affected by some interference.

Popping and Bluetooth headphones
I changed the media player to Sound explorer by vito technology and the pops went away! Great mp3 player. I would recommend it. It works great on my HP headphones. . .

This is true, but it hangs occasionally on my 4700 if I use it with the HP headphones. Beta Player does not hang and the pops are almost unexisting as well. However, BetaPlayer is not really designed for being an mp3 player.

Btw, do other users experience this problem:

after 5-6 times that I connect the headphones the next attempt would not work. After a soft reset it's working again for the next 5-6 times.

I have purchased the new headphones and they do work well unless you have Tomtom Navigator installed on your IPAQ, if so they will not work at all.
