ozVGA / SE_VGA ????
Can anyone provide more details about the different VGAs?

What are ozVGA and SE_VGA?

What kind of tools can I use to modify the display?

Thank you in advance.

Both SE_VGA and ozVGA allow you to change from using HP's halfhearted implementation of VGA which double pixel dithers most applications and look really chunky and clumsy (especially if like me you use full VGA mode 100% of the time!).

My preference is for ozVGA as it provides more options than SE_VGA such as adjusting font sizes etc. However both are stable and do the job!

Ctitanics tweaks2k also offers several options that help make your hx4700 run more sweetly in VGA mode.

The olny issues you might have in using either SE_VGA or ozVGA is that some applications simply do not like it... However many of the applciations written by the bigger sw houses are compatible. Check the forums for people's reviews of application capabilites in full VGA.

Also - some people might find it difficult to use full VGA all the time - especially if they are as blind as a bat. You can tell those people as they sit with their hx4700 2" away from their faces - squinting madly.

.
And how do you use VGA mode? Is that not done automatically? Can you switch between modes? Between which ones?

Oh, now I got the point. With the SE_VGA hack you have a kind of "true VGA". But also the fonts and so will be very small as you said.
