Playing MP3's on the iPAQ
Hello everyone.
Can you advise me on this?
I copied some of my favorite MP3 music titles on to an SD card (my PC has an adapter). I then played the titles with the "onboard" media player. While some of the titles play fine some others suddenly stuck in the middle with the message "buffering" appearing. There is no chance to play them on. Also, how can one switch off the screen to save some power while listening to MP3's? Or is the media player such "crap" that you recommend another product anyway? I just want to listen music.
Thank you for any help.

Ok guys.
I just found out that the Betaplayer just plays all titles fine and has much more options to set. Cool !!
But anyway, what do you use to play your MP3's?

glitches in mp3
i experienced this phenonimia too...
i suspected that it was corrupted file transfer,
i deleted the file, and recopied to the 4700..
no further problem, no sure where the corruption occours
as i dont really care to spend the time figuring it out...as long as
recopying it fixed it..... i would say that if it continues that
one of several things could be your problem... you dont have
enough ram avail on your pc..as in ( you dont have much to begin with)
or YOU HAVE HAD YOUR PC ON ALL DAY, and windows memory leaks have
drained your resources to the point that its causing transfer errors, REBOOT YOUR PC BEFORE YOU COPY THE MP3'S TO THE 4700... that will fix it.
if the problem still persists, WHERE DID YOU COPY THE MP3 FILES TO ON THE
4700 ? take one that glitches..put it in the IPAQ folder, then play it agian,
did that fix the prob ? if so there you go.
also..its possible i suppose that the actual mp3 file could have been created in a program that has some issue with wmp9 mobile...
well these are some thoughts to try..good luck

Hi Raiderhp
Thanx for the tips. Re-copying did fix the problem. Never mind, I think I will buy myself PocketMusic. It really looks great and has much more convenient options than the media player.

Regarding switching off your screen while listening to music:

Tap your iTask button (bottom right)--> tap the Display Off button (the 1st button in 2nd row....looks like 2 overlapping screens).

And just wait 1 sec and the screen turns itself off. Just tap any of the four buttons to turn screen back on.
