Hello, My touch screen on my hx4700 is dead
It wont recive any input, I have tried a hard reset and it still wont do anything!
please help

I had the same issue once, try taking out your battery. Good luck!

How long did you take yout battery out for ? I already tried that and its still not working

Leave it out for 30 minutes (basically until the back-up battery fails).

Also:
- Have you recently out a screen protector on?
- Remove any storage cards when you hard reset.

well the touch screen seems to be working now !
but i am stuck on align screen ...
it wont stop it just keeps going......
is there anyway i can like bypass this?

It sounds as though something is putting pressure on the screen (so that it doesn't register screen taps).

As I said - do you have a new screen protector (or case for that matter?).

I would do what Rob suggested and keep the battery out until the backup discharges and try again.

Hey HeY! !
Its all working now, thankyou Toddfather and Rob for your help !! I removed the battery for 30 mins and then the device came on and worked... I read on the HP forums that you need to apply a bit of pressure on the top of the screen... strange :P and also to fix up the aligning problem I placed the ipaq on my desk and used the stylus at 90degrees! and poked the target right in the center! worked out fine!
