HP Bluetooth Headphones
Hi everyone
Does anybody has some experience already with those HP Bluetooth Headphones in terms of sound quality ? Are the drivers (or whatever) easy to install on my 4700? Are there problems with interferences when a cell phone is near the PDA?

A serach will yield you several reviews. Seems afew peeps are experiencing dropouts and popping. Mine are fine, with maybe a pop every hour. I am not sure if this is the particular headest or will be bt headphones in general.

The driver installed quite easily and I haven't noticed any problems with a cell phone. My wi-fi does seem to cause a bit.

I should get my head phones Friday so I'll try to reply with a brief review.

Looking forward to the experience.

4700 w/BT HP Phones should be a great combo.

First Day Impression of HP BT Head phones ...................

I think with any HP IPAQ accessory product there is a learning (nurturing you're IPAQ mode) that you go through until you, and your IPAQ, both understand your abilities and comfort zones......

Before I say anything, I think I built up bluetooth/PPC technology bigger in my head than it actually is.

OK - Wireless is cool if you can be within a few feet of your IPAQ (don't move around much - like within 10 feet - not 30 feet as advertised).

As I sit here on my laptop beacuse I can't do BT HP and internet together because I lose signal/bluetooth and the sound gets all scratchy, I think about the $20 pair of Sony Studio Headphones I bought at Wal Mart that beat the sound pants off this thing.

But Hey...... we're talking about some very kewel IPAQ wireless technology that I think I'll like better tomorrow after I sleep on it.

Popping sounds seem to have settled down now that I've sat down and I'm not stretching the bounds of wireless/bluetooth technology by placing the IPAQ on the table and walking around the house trying to find flaws in bluetooth.

OK - I'm gonna sleep on it and write back tomorrow....

Second Day Impression...................

Wished they fit my head better - maybe future models will feature the sliding style adjustable head clip. Also wish they were more of a cup style ear piece as these seem to be a bit uncomfortable after several hours of wearing.

Now that I'm more familiar with the actual capabilities of the BT HPs I think we're going to get along just fine. I was wrong about the distance factor. If in the right conditions you can get about 30 feet away from your IPAQ without too much trouble. A little popping and scratchyness may occur but not too bad. Internet surfing can be done but with considerable popping. The instructions tell you DO NOT USE INTERNET connections and that's what that means. Opening other programs while playing music does cause a few pops here and there but again not too bad.

The PLAY, PAUSE, FF, REW, NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons on ythe headset are a nice feature. Kinda disappointed that you cannot use the IPAQ Audio equalizer to adjust bass and treble.

All in all I think these are worth $100 for wireless/BT technology headphones. Better fit and comfort are needed in future models.

Go get yourself some!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it :-)

Motorola
a bluetooth headset was aquired (by me) when i picked up the latest cell, the cell is sony ericsson t637 and the bt headset is a motorola, after pairing the phone and headset i remembered the pda was blue tooth...pairing was simple with HP's software doing all the work.
I turned on BT and then loaded an audiobook excerpt and began to listen....the quality is poor compared to even cheap wired headsets but this headset is probably set up for handsfree phone use and the acoustics reflect that.
