I don't have a 470x - but your manual should show you this.

I think those are on your touch pad, make sure you are not doing the test in cursor mode or it will not work. It drove me crazy for a while when I could not get it to pass the test.

Buttons 6,7,8 and 9 are second functions of existing buttons. They are accessed by holding down the button.

I believe button 6 is the calendar button held down (bottom left)
button 7 is the contacts button held down (upper left)
button 8 is the inbox button held down (upper right)
button 9 is the itask button held down (bottom right)

I'm glad someone knows what they are talking about, I should have read the post better. For some reason I thought it had to do with the self test. Thanks

Rob, you should really consider treating yourself I did!! The 2210 is a great PDA (I know, I still have one), but there really is no comparison You will thank yourself! The visual clarity of my HX4700 is unbelievable when comparing it to my H2210.

It is not a matter of 'treating myself' it is a matter of convincing my wife!

(Also I am going to wait for the second iteration of VGA devices - maybe they will have sorted out the different viewing modes by then ).

Don't tell her, or give her your 2210 as a delayed xmas gift (and of course you had to get a replacement ) As far as the different viewing modes, I am assumeing that you are talking about viewing in 'Real' VGA. 'Real VGA' is great for internet Explorer (which I always use for it), but there are still to many apps that have problems operating properly in 'Real VGA' mode, so I use SE VGA for everything else. Still the quality of graphics, even at 320x240, is outstanding compared to any PDA on the market today. I say that it will probably take about a year before all apps will work properly in 'Real VGA'. Software apps are are all starting to come up with updated versions that will work in 'Real VGA', so it is only a matter of time.
