mostly set up but..........
I've installed many programs over the last week and like them all but I'm missing the ability to TRULY close a program, thus I find myself going to control panel, settings, system, memory, running programs, then finally closing the program.
I've installed BatteryPackPro, iLauncher,Tweaks,BetaPlayer,BibleReader,Antibiotic sKinetics,FlashIt, just to name a few......
am I missing the ability to shut down a program in any of the above?

I know that PocketPlus has this ability but do i need to buy PocketPlus when i already have so many of its features in the above?

I find myself running out of memory occasionally and have to do the rigamarole to shut down a program(s) to free up ram, maybe an easier way?

Thanks to all and especially Rob who is the ruler of Australia

MagicButton is free app which does exactly what you want. Follow the link http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/magicbutton.shtml.
There are also some other untilities out there. Maybe the ruler of Down Under knows some more. I am using spb pocketplus. It is very nice.

You have to remember that when running a program, the 'X' in the top right screen is a minimize button and not a close button like it is on a desktop computer. To close a program you have to hold it in for 2-3 seconds, to minimize it, you just tap it.

A lot of people use WisBar Advanced... as their task manager... it is a few more bobbles... but definitely one of the first applications I load into a new device.

I think other members have already informed you of the best two programmes (in my opinion) for closing programmes:

- WisbarAdvanced (what I use) - if you also want to 'skin' your control bars
- MagicButton if you want a nice simple (and effective) programme just to close your running programmes.

Try them both (NOT at the same time - as they will clash with each other) and decide what you want to use.
