Crash with pocket mechanic 1.49
I installed pocket mechanic version 1..49 in my 4700 into filestore.
After some testing I made a scandisk on my CF and SD card.
CF was ok
SD hanged after about 90%. After a warmreset the 4700 was ok again, but 4 of my 12 programs installed in SD didn't run .
They could be seen as programicons, but not their individual icons.
Many files on SD are dispapeared.
I had to reinstall this programs (Pathaway-GPSprog, , Tweaks, Michelin, PocketWinc). They work again now.

Is this a normal behaviour of pocket mechanic?
Doing a CF / SD test pocket mechanic shows:
BIOS FAT32 but under file allocation table filesync FAT 16

Is it correct to see a FAT 32 and FAT 16 ??

Gerhard

Programs such as this I always like to keep on the pocketpc itself. The problem probably occurred when you soft reset the Pocketpc... Do not interfer with the processes when running Pocket Mechanic... it can render you card useless... it was one of the things that this program needs and that is an active status bar... It is hard to tell if the program is stuck.

Actually count yourself lucky... I have seen some posts where the card was rendered useless...

I installed this in main memory and have had exactly the same problem. Did a scan on a 1GB SD card and lost half my files. As it happens all the files lost were all demo installs and installed by install apps. All the files that remained were copied on to the card by explorer.

Should also say that tried a defrag on the same SD card and it did a similar thing. It locked at about 90% defrag and deleted same files as above...
