How to shrik avi and mpg files for 4700?

I don't want to rip DVD into 4700 but want to store and play mpg and avi files in my 4700.
What program is usefull?
Most DVD ripper don''t manage avi and mpg.

You might want to give Auto Gordian Knot a chance too. It is maybe a bit more advanced but I prefer it to PocketDivx. Find it here: http://autogk.net/
