PocketInformant HP will not start ??
Since some days all applications in the InformantUtils(PIAlarmNom,PICalendar, ...) will not start anymore.
I get the errormessage pocketInformant.exe: PI HP or one of its components is not found, look for right name and path.

I think PI is stored in ROM and shouldn't be damaged?
Warmstart doesn't help. Starting the different PInnn .exe files in Windows directory also give this message or it doesn't act at all.
I think it happens since I played with hp protect tools. But deactivating it doesn't cure the problem.
I havn't installed the 5.6 PI upgrade.

Any tip before trying a hardreset?

You can recreate the shortcuts - the necessary files are stored in your Windows directory.

What other programmes have you installed lately?

the ink-Files are there. When I klick on \Windows\PINotification.exe or PITab.exe nothing happens?
Normal PocketInformant.exe works ok.

I played a bit with HP Protect Tools. But it is switched off now.
All other programs on the hx470 work fine and without problems.
I have now deleted the directory InformantUtils. So I am not seeing it and it doesn't confuse me anymore.
But I think it should work?
