My Boss just purchased the 4705 (with 2003 SE). I have the job or figuring it out and setting it up. She specifically doesn't want it sync-ed to her desktop. I have done as much as I can, and I have set up outlook directly on the PPC with all her contacts, etc. I copied all the settings from her desktop email account. But, it won't send them. We don't have wifi here, but I thought it could connect to the internet through the desktop computer. I have it sync-ed as guest connection and it is showing as connected. Why can't I send emails? Also, I tried to go to the "set up connection" section and it is asking me about modems. Do I have to have an attachment to make this work? I have to have this working by tomorrow, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try opening activestink and select Tools.Options then the Rules tab, the pass through connection (bottom) allows the PPC to connect via the desktop make sure the connection is 'The Internet' or if already that try changing to 'Work'.

I'm not sure if the guest partnership effects this however you can try a standard partnership and just choose not to sync anything.
