Hey everyone, there are no updates for the hx4700 right? Because i know Dell has had a update for their x50v because it was having trouble with speed bt and wifi etc. Is this update only for Dell? I was seconds away from buying the x50v and at the last second i got the hx4700 and i think its the best. And the screen amazes me.

I would like to know this also. Will there be a update for the 4705? I have had the x50v, and so far I am happier with the 4705, although the wireless utlity in the x50v is far better than the wireless utility that HP includes.

I haven't used the x50v so I can't comment on its wireless tools, but I've found the HP wireles utility just fien for my needs so far. I can easily go wireless, switch networks, detect networks and attach to networks all within that one little tool.

As for a ROM upgrade, there aren't any that I am aware of for the 4700/4705. I wish HP would release one that adds Media Player 10 but I'm not holding my breath. Knowing HP they'll just release something like a 4710/4715 that will include WMP10 and screw over everyone who bought the 4700/4705 like me

Maybe they are just going to wait for WM2005 to be released for it.
