Corrupted? mailbox on my hx4705
Problem: new messages are not synced and 4705 says I have 4 unread messages which I cannot see.

Yesterday was one of those days where I added several software programs to my 4705 and there was also an online update notice that came through for my Outlook 2003 and there were some security updates that came through for my Win XP. I don't know exactly where this happened but autosync has gone strange on me. The end result is a weird situation where my 4075 Outlook says I have 4 unread messages but when I open the inbox nothing is there and I can't seem to get any email synced over from my desktop.

I have tried all manner of soft and hard resets and I have uninstalled/reinstalled autosync 3.8 on my PC. I have scanned (scanpst.exe) my desktop mailbox. A totally clean 4705 does not show this problem until I sync from scratch and new files com in from my desktop. I have found no other issues on my 4705 at this point but I am frustrated I can't solve this. I have searched the forum for answers which I used to recheck what I have done. BTW - when I bring in my mail via WFI to my POP account for the same mail account this does does happen.

Anybody have any ideas how to fix this???

Have you deleted the AS partnership and recreated it?

When the iPaq is not in its cradle open AS on your PC and go to File>Delete Partnership

Save the files when asked

Put iPaq back into the cradle.

Let us know how you get on.
