PIE - "The page you are looking for cannot be found." - but internet works
I am having issues with Pocket IE on my PPC. This only started happening as of about three days ago; it worked with no issues prior to that.

I am connecting to the internet fine. Other browsers and internet utilities work fine. DNS works fine; domains resolve just fine on the Pocket PC. All functionality is there, other than with Pocket IE. I get "The page you are looking for cannot be found." Trying to access my local webservers by IP even gives me the same error. The error comes up almost immediately (longest wait is one second).

While using another browser does work, I would still like the functionality of Pocket IE. If a hard reset is the only way . . . .

It sounds like the "this connection uses a proxy" box is checked, with nothing or a bad proxy server listed.

Check in the Connections control panel applet. Edit the settings for your Internet connection and verify there's nothing listed on the last tab (sorry, I don't have my Pocket PC handy to be more specific).

I have no proxy, and no proxy is set. As I said, internet works fine, even other browsers. Other browsers wouldn't work if proxy was set and there was no proxy.

I should have mentioned that I did that, even though with my experience with IE/PIE in a situation like this, it shouldn't do anything. :/

Regardless, I would like to know why, and what a possible solution other than a hard reset would be.

Edit: I just did a hard reset, and restored my most recent backup before the IE problem (I hadn't done *too* much since then). PIE works again... now to get everything back how it was (it wasn't there anyway), and do another backup, and it'll be fine.
