I have had this a couple of times now, and it gets fixed with a soft reset, but its annoying:

Randomly, when i close apps and return to the today screen, the battery, backlight, memory (and i'm sure theres another icon) dissapear from just bellow the next calendar entry. This is annoying as i can not easily properly close apps, change back light, or check battery level

I have not installed anything for about 2/3 weeks (the only things i have installed are Worms by Jamdat, Microsoft Cubical Chaos, WifiFoFum, RealPlayer and BetaPlayer) now and its only started happening this week.

What's the problem anyone?

Hi robert_a_hudson. What Today screen apps do you have installed. Also, just asking to clarify, are you actually closing the apps or are they still running minimized in the background? Just in case you weren't already aware, tapping the X in the upper right hand corner doens't always close the application. A WM feature...

no plugins are installed, its as the ipaq came, just with the 5 apps i have said installed. Yes, im sorry i meant minimised, not closed (this is why it is also annoying that the memory icon has gone since i cant properly close apps, well, unless i use magicx is it...)
