Sena Case for Extended Battery
Sena now has a case designed for use with the extended battery. Hats off to Sena . You can find it here: http://www.senacases.com/cart/home.php?cat=327

I just received mine today.

Pluses:
Well made
Can sync without taking Axim out of case (big plus. First case I've had for a PDA with this capability)

Minuses:
A little pricy.

Potential minuses:
Not sure I like the magnetic closure. It doesn't seem as secure as a clasp.

Overall: Recommended

Edit: Got mine for my Axim X50V, with extended battery. Forgot which site I was on.

I just got mine yesterday. Overall, I'm happy, although it's clearly not in the same league as the Vaja cases I've used before. The leather that forms the "pouch" that holds the unit is paper-thin (literally) with a nylon fabric backing, presumably to add some structural integrity. Sena does pride themselves on thin cases! The leather of the back and lid is much thicker.

I expect the case will hold up well, but I'd still prefer a little more heft in the leather weight. On the other hand, it's the only case out there that will accomodate a 4700 with the extended battery pack.

Vaja cases are nice, but remember, the big plus with Sena cases is that you can sync them in the cradle with the case. That is their advantage and they have to be that thin for this to function.

How does this case work with the standard battery? It'll be a while until I get an extended battery, but I do want to plan ahead... I still haven't found a case that I like yet, but this is probably the closest...

True, I have a Sena case with the standard battery - the hx4700 is able to sync in cradle with it.

I was wondering in regards to the extended battery case working with a standard battery. In a few months I was thinking of getting an extended battery, but I need a case soon.

The extended case will not fit the standard battery as it will be too big. I would get the standard Sena case and if you get the ext battery, then get the extended case. They are only $44 each. If you bought a Vaja, you would be paying twice that for ONE case, and Sena are excellent cases!
