Innopocket Magnum
Can anyone tell me how long it took to get the case after you ordered it? (from innopocket.com). And none of the reviews really told me how much bulk the case adds to the PDA. If anyone can just elaborate on this. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Vill

My case arrived before my ipaq, the former from HK the latter from my home country Australia!

I'm fairly sure it took only about 5 days to arrive (and I ordered it during Chinese New Year when they were closed for the holiday - but still managed to respond to an email from me), and 1/2 that time would have been in transit in Australia, as I live in a somewhat remote rural town.

The case is slim and tight fitting and adds virtually no bulk. That said, I have to take the case off to use the cradle. Mostly I just use the charger without the cradle, which works fine with the case.

I have to say I'm extremely happy with the case and the service from Innopocket.

Not sure where you are but cases.com sent me mine within 3 days, I never had a metal case before but this thing is awesome. I'm thinking of getting one for my dell now.

I ordered the magnesium case directly from Innopocket. I chose regular shipping, not FedEx, and it took 18 days to get to Minnesota. The guys who chose FedEx got them in 2 days.

I say it doesn't really add much bulk, but it does add some weight, but not enough to detract from the solid feel of the case.

Case is not that rugged!!!
Warning, if you drop your case(even if only a few inches), the darn thing will break. I dropped mine about 7 in. from the console to the carpeting in my pickup and the tabs that hold the case closed both broke off. The tabs are plastic on the hinge points and on the bottom of the cover. Now I own a $50.00 paperweight. I would try to return it, but have already modified the open to allow usb and power connections without having to remove the unit from the case..

Yeah mine broke off as well. Cases.com has promised to replace it as soon as they get more in stock (the only mod I made to the case was to add two tiny strips of velcro to help hold it closed until a replacement case arrives, which I told cases.com and they said that was okay, they would replace as soon as more arrive.

I dunno, when the case first came out, I had high expectations and was going to purchase one right off the bat because their aluminum case is excellent. After reading all the problems people are having ranging from paint chipping off and being easily scratched, door breaking, door not closing properly, etc.. With all these problems, it is pretty much determined that the case is a piece of junk. I presently have two cases, an Innopocket aluminum and a Sena, and both cases are still in excellent condition after months of abuse. I am glad that people are reporting their problems with this case as it made me aware and prevented me from throwing $39.95 out the window and hopefully it will prevent others as well from investing in this garbage. Sorry for sounding so harsh, but I was really looking forward to this case when it was first announced

The case isn't a bad case. Yes, the little nubs that are meant to hold the case closed are made of some very cheap plastic and yes the paint scratches too easily. However, Innopocket have annonced free replacements for the chipped paint problem when they have the manufacturing issue causing this problem resolved. No word on a solution for the clips to hold it closed and to me that's a bigger issue. BUT, the case IS nice and does a nice job of protecting the device. Hopefully Innopocket can do something about the cheap plastic clip in the future. I guess my point is that it's not a horrible case and the problems are far more minor (imho) than some people seem to think they are. Overall it's a nice case with a couple minor flaws of which one is already being addressed.

wow...thanks for telling me. looks like I'm gonna be selling it on eBay once it arrives. Not gonna take the chance of it breaking down on me right away.

Sorry to hear some people are having probs with this case. I'm not and I love the case. Seems extremely sturdy to me, no problems with the case closing, appears to be absolutely top quality, (no paint scratches - yet), and Innopocket service is second to none. I don't have anything to do with them except I'm one very satisfied customer.

Got mine within one week by e-mail just before chinese new year. Case is superb, tight, no problem whatsoever. Only concern relates to the belt holder screw that seems a bit short but I don't need it. Any case can probably break if not handled properly. I advise a Pelican case if you intend to go swimming with your iPaq or drive over it.
