ScummVM has been made VGA compatible
Since I really like my full VGA screen I am constantly looking for VGA compliant apps and games. And since I really like LucasArts adventures games I absolutely had to have ScummVM, but it had some serious issues with the screen coordinates being fixed to 320x240. So I asked them if they would be willing to change it, and so they did;

On the bottom of the link there is a download location, in options you have to select 2x to set it to full screen.

Have fun!

Question: does this mean all games that use this engine now support true VGA?

If so..... WOOT!! The good stuff is starting to trickle out for our HX4700

Which games do you recommend that use the engine? How much do they cost?

Just check the list....

Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen are two free adventure games you can try it with, both are quite fun....

Although Monkey Island or Indiana Jones are the real treats!

Hmmm, I may risk sounding stupid, but I'd never heard of ScummVM...just went and looked around the pages...looks pretty cool and I am reminiscing about the old days playing Maniac Mansion, etc...

I assume you have to be able to find your old discs for these games to be able to run them though...

Oh well, off to look through the old boxes of computer games
